CHECKMATE

I cut this piece for Xenith in Adobe Premiere CS6 using their raw RED workflow.  It was my first time using the, at the time, new Premiere and it did not disappoint.  Not having to transcode was time efficient and editing at quarter res allowed smooth playback. I was very excited about how well Adobe Premiere handled working with R3D files.

SELECT GREATER PHILADELPHIA
FROM SPACE

Comcast was looking to help drive companies to Philadelphia on the notion that it is centered between NYC and Washington D.C.. I was responsible for everything up until the 20 second mark when the orb falls into the mans hands. I would have loved to have more time on the fly down during the highlighting of locations but this project was done on a very short timeline. When are they not though..??

One video from a series I edited for USA Today and High School Sports.  It's always nice when the client says "Go crazy and get creative  with it."  And they really do want it.  The motion graphics for this series were some of my favorites to work on.

VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY
NURSING IN PERU

This was hands down my favorite project yet. I got to go on a 6 day trip to Chulucanas, Peru and do the field audio for the entire piece and then edit it. The trip consisted of a producer, videographer and me on audio along side a group of Villanova Nursing students.  One of the best experiences of my life.

I created this intro animation for the second season of a TV Show that the team I worked on did for three seasons.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

One of a series of four 30 second spots produced for Comcast.  I liked working on this one because of the compositing involved. I decided to actually hang a piece of plexi-glass in front of the children to get realistic hand impressions and it really helped sell the effect.

Quick turn around time called for some AE templates on this one. I was asked to create a 2 minute video for their 2013 Ambassador Conference using photos from client and incorporating other info and elements as well. Thank you to Trapcode Plugins Shine, Particular & Form and Optical Flares for making this one easier.

I was extremely grateful for the opportunity to cut this piece since Sandy hit my home state of NJ pretty hard and affected many people I knew.  Pulled a bunch of media from the web and Red Cross and integrated with new media produced for the spot.

SEASON 3 OPENING

Having been a part of this series since the start, it gave me a determination to make the first thing viewers would experience coming back for season 3 be something great. The sound design, editing and just overall tone of this piece, I felt . Coming up with the sound for this was probably my favorite part but seeing it all come together was awesome. Even the motion graphics just felt right with the color grading and image choices.

This is one of two Behind the Scenes videos I cut for Wilsons Leather. There was a multi-day shoot producing 15 second videos to be used on the website in place of photos of product for two separate lines they put out in 2010. This one is for the Black Rivet Collection.

I've done more than a few e-solicitations for Villanova Universitys Aunual Fund.  Other than receiving digital scans of the photos, it was created entirely in After Effects.

THE RIDE
SEASON 3 CLOSING

This was the final block of Season 3 of The Ride: The Road to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on NBC Sports. I love the last minute of this block.  The light reverb on the accent audio really sold it as a looking back conclusion.  I also did all the field audio for this season which including putting wireless mics in shoulder pads which was a little nerve wrecking to watch players tackling each other while wearing Lectrosonics UMA400a.

LOGO ANIMATION

Villanova University wanted a new animation for their logo. I didn't have permission to get too abstract or really distort the logo in anyway and had to be short so this is what I came up with.

RIDING THE BLUE: NORTH SHORE

This was created to pitch the idea of a 3D surfing show that would take place on the North Shore of Hawaii. This was interesting in that we pulled footage from everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE! Random YouTube clips, captured DVD's, downloaded PR videos and also some footage produced for this project alone. Being a skateboarder/surfer/snowboarder, this was a fun one to work on.

SERVE PHILADELPHIA

Being a resident of Philadelphia at the time of creating this spot, it brought personal meaning to it. From shooting on location at my South Philly home with friends as actors to editing the piece and volunteering at the launch of SERVE Philadelphia, it was a great feeling every step of the way. It was nice to be a part of moving a city in a positive direction.  Had to do a sky replacement on Mayor Nutter as well.

I edited this piece for Elephant Quilt Productions in New Orleans, LA.  I created the logo animation, transition animations and lower thirds.  The lower thirds turned out to be one of my favorite designs yet.
